Shannon is a busy and active wife and mother. She is a graduate of the University of Texas - Austin, where she majored in history and minored in biology.
She has always had a passion for health and fitness, which she shares with her entire family. It was through a round about way that she discovered Pilates and it's amazing benefits.
After the birth of her second child, she was inspired to start long distance running when her mother completed a marathon. Shannon ran several half marathons in the next couple of years, but began to experience injuries from her training. Shannon sought help from doctors and PTs, but it was only after meeting her mentor, Amanda Vernor and beginning Pilates sessions that she finally found relief from the pain.
Through Pilates Shannon discovered a life-long program that helps her maintain her active lifestyle. Shannon recently concluded her 600-hours in the Somaspace Teacher Training Program, where she is an apprentice and will graduate in the coming weeks.
